Baptism
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.
In order to receive the Sacrament at Holy Ghost, parents and godparents must attend our baptism preparation class which can be found in the video below. The child and godparent forms must be completed and returned to Trisha Labbe. Baptisms will be scheduled once all paperwork is received and requirements are met.
IMPORTANT: At this time, baptisms take place after the mass with up to 3 baptisms at a time. Also, please strongly consider giving a stipend to the presider as it is greatly appreciated.
Baptism Seminar: In good faith, watch the video below. After completion, please complete the attestation form and return to Trisha Labbe.
If the video appears "unavailable", please click on the YouTube link in the box, it will direct you to the Baptism Seminar video to be viewed on YouTube.
First Communion
First Communion is a major rite of passage in the Catholic Church. As one of the seven Sacraments, First Communion typically falls around the age of 7, when a child is deemed capable of reason and therefore able to appreciate and understand the miracle of the Eucharist.
As part of the Sacramental Preparation, Holy Ghost Catholic Church has a preparation program for both the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of the Eucharist using the Blessed Series by Dynamic Catholic.
First Communion Parent Meeting: Monday, Nov. 14, 2022 at 12N and 6pm in the Daily Mass Chapel. Only one meeting needs to be attended. More information will be shared at the meeting. Contact Trisha Labbe with any questions.

Confirmation
The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the sacraments of Christian initiation. Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit to be true witnesses of Christ, and more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. Click here for more information regarding Confirmation Preparation which can be found under our Youth Ministry page.
