Baptism

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.

In order to receive the Sacrament at Holy Ghost, parents and godparents must attend our baptism preparation class. The schedule as well as the baptism and godparent forms are below.

**Please note: Baptism Seminars are held on the FIRST WEDNESDAY of the month, unless otherwise noted on the schedule below.**

**Seminars begin at 6pm in the Daily Mass Chapel**

First Communion

First Communion is a major rite of passage in the Catholic Church. As one of the seven Sacraments, First Communion typically falls around the age of 7, when a child is deemed capable of reason and therefore able to appreciate and understand the miracle of the Eucharist.

As part of the Sacramental Preparation, Holy Ghost Catholic Church has a preparation program for both the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Please complete the student information form below. First Communion is scheduled for the weekend of January 27 & 28 at all of the masses: 4pm, 6pm (Spanish), 7:30am, 9:30am, 11:30am, and 5pm.

Reconciliation is available on Saturdays from 3pm to 3:45pm in the church.

This packet includes the letter to parents/guardians, the list of important dates, and the child registration form.

Congratulations to these children who made their FIRST COMMUNION on the weekends of January 7th and 14th!

May God continue to bless you all abundantly!

Congratulations to our Candidates who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Monday, October 16, 2017 with Bishop Muench presiding!

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is one of the sacraments of Christian initiation. Through the Sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit to be true witnesses of Christ, and more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. Click here for more information regarding Confirmation Preparation which can be found under our Youth Ministry page.
