HOLY GHOST CHURCH DONATES GIFTS TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.

In their continuing effort to reach out to the community, Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Hammond donated over 200 gifts to the less fortunate in the area.

"Our church and parishioners are blessed," said Holy Ghost Catholic Church Pastor Fr. Robert U. Perry, O.P. "We are extremely happy to share with the less fortunate in our community during this Christmas Season."

Holy Ghost parishioners donated toys and clothes to TARC, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Migrant Workers in Tangipahoa Parish, Restoration House, and the Child Support Division of the 21st Judicial District Attorney's Office.

The Holy Ghost Social Outreach Committee placed gift tags on a Giving Tree in the church's gathering area and families picked a tag and then returned a wrapped gift to church.

"The response was overwhelming," said Fr. Perry. "In fact we had to keep adding gift tags to the tree in order for the Holy Ghost families to participate."
